• What does a good day look like in your role?

  Making a positive difference to sales and profit makes for a good day!

• What does a challenging day look like in your role?

  Covid has certainly provided context to what a challenging day can be. I am enormously proud of how the merchandising team works together to support each other in managing challenges.

• What do you get up to in a typical day/week?

  Planning and trading form a big part of a typical week. Mondays are predominantly driven by trade - analysing performance and putting actions in place to drive the business forward. The merchandising team is the owner of stock in the business and therefore we work closely with our key stakeholders to make sure stock is in the right place at the right time. We manage the flow of new and core product into the business and work closely with buying, visual merchandising, digital and retail teams, in translating the design vision online and in stores. 

• What’s the best thing about working for AllSaints?

  The best thing is the scope to impact the business working collaboratively cross functionally. The merchandising team works with buying, design, production, logistics, retail, wholesale, franchise & licensing, digital, technology and finance teams. This privileged position means I am involved in numerous projects. These vary from launching a new store to working with external partners to updating our internal processes. 

• What’s the most surprising or unexpected thing about working for us?

  The pace in trading the business is genuinely exciting!

• Why AllSaints?

  I have always loved our amazing product and wanted to be part of a brand that had ambition, pace and leadership to make the vision become a reality. And most importantly at the core of it all, then and equally now, the unfaltering brand values which put team ahead of everything else.

• What’s not in the job description but something you’d tell a friend if they were looking to join the brand?

  The sheer lack of hierarchy is truly refreshing! Everyone in the AllSaints family has the opportunity to add real value to the business. Whether you are allocating stock to a specific store or planning a product range for the next season or aligning trading plans across different regions - we all know how it fits into the wider business strategy.

• Tell us about your journey with AllSaints so far.

  I started my journey at AllSaints as planning manager which was a newly created role. I was given the opportunity to lead the outlets team soon after joining the business. I was promoted to head of merchandising having taken on additional responsibility. As the business continued to evolve, so did my role. I have led different teams within the business - continuity, wholesale as well as outlets. I now lead merchandising teams across AllSaints and John Varvatos.
