Creative Visual Merchandiser

• What does a good day look like in your role?

  Working with a great team who are all pulling in the same direction.

• What does a challenging day look like in your role?

  A challenging day for me means I've got a lot on in various different areas. From monthly directive launches, planning for what's next, store visits and creative work. You've got to be good at spinning plates.

• What do you get up to in a typical day/week?

  One of the things I love about my role is how varied it is, but on my most consistent weeks I'll normally be found in our studio space planning the next month's global visual merchandising directive.

  This means getting together all of the samples of what's coming in as well as the current collection and styling it all together to create new areas for customers to experience in-store each month.

  I review bestsellers, product reactions and category focuses whilst working alongside the rest of my team to collate all of our direction on windows, accessories, furniture layouts and campaign imagery into an online document which all the stores can follow and execute in their own spaces.

  Then onto some creative thinking for what's coming up in the future!

• What’s the best thing about working for AllSaints?

  The team! That includes my own and all the amazing people throughout the company I get to work and learn from. Also the product is pretty incredible too!

• What’s the most surprising or unexpected thing about working for us?

  I think most people (including myself) are always surprised about how far a reach the brand has. I'm always learning about new partnerships, production methods and places that AllSaints is investing time and energy into.

• What’s not in the job description but something you’d tell a friend if they were looking to join the brand?

  Be prepared to get a solid workout in as a visual merchandiser!

• Tell us about your journey with AllSaints so far.

  I started in the brand eleven years ago as a part-time sales assistant. After getting to know my in-store visual merchandiser manager, I started to take an interest in visual merchandising and worked with them whenever I could.

  After getting my first visual merchandiser role, I worked in a couple of different stores each time building great relationships and learning as much as I could from those around me, doing my best to show off what I could do.

  I then applied for the menswear creative visual merchandiser role in our East London Head Office's visual merchandising department, and after two years I moved over to womenswear.

  After a couple of years working with a lot dresses and handbags, I've actually returned back to the menswear side of the brand and it feels like home. I'm working on some amazing new things as the brand continues to evolve, and I can't wait to see what comes next!
