• What does a good day look like in your role?

  A good day is spending some time connecting with my team, and partners. I love a to-do list and making things happen, so working on projects, ideating and moving projects forward really make me skip home at the end of the day.

• What does a challenging day look like in your role?

  I get a huge amount of satisfaction from improving operations and processes. A frustrating day for me is the inability to move tasks, projects or administrative actions forward that I know are going to improve the business.

• What do you get up to in a typical day/week?

  A typical day for me starts around 8am with reviewing internet order performance for our store network, and checking out business performance across the globe. A habit that started as a store manager in retail that lives with me to this day.

  Everyday I take some time to catch up with my teams, in the office and in the field, to make sure we are all in a good place and on track with agreed plans.

  Brand operations and profit protection are both high contact departments, that support a large network of people and departments across multiple communication platforms, so a quarter of my week could be spent talking to partners on areas of the business on trade, performance, operations, issues and plans to improve/maximise.

  I keep designated times for project and administration work, but remain flexible with trading demands. We are a very service-led department and keep a customer (internal/external) before task mindset.

  In terms of location, I could spend my working week in our East London Head Office, in our distribution centre, in stores or based at home - it really does depend on what I am working on, on that particular day, and where I will be most effective.

• What’s the best thing about working for AllSaints?

  The people.

  We have the most talented team members across so many fields of expertise! I have learnt, and continue to learn, a huge amount everyday due to the teams we have. Everyone has a drive to achieve the best for the brand and be part of something amazing.

• What’s the most surprising or unexpected thing about working for us?

  How quickly we can make things happen!

  When an opportunity presents itself, or an idea is floated that is going to make a difference to the customer experience and brand - we can move fast.

• What’s not in the job description but something you’d tell a friend if they were looking to join the brand?

  You really have the ability to make such a difference. What you put in, you get out. We all take responsibility for owning our roles and doing our bit to grow the brand.

• Tell us about your journey with AllSaints so far.

  11 years and counting. Starting in retail and district management - which gave me a great understanding of our business and the opportunities available as we grew as a brand.

  I have taken that knowledge and learning through with me to regional retail operations, global brand operations and more recently the addition of profit protection under the umbrella of the brand experience team.

  Being part of the brand experience team enables me to look at my role and responsibilities through the eyes of the customer, driving all change through the lens of what is best holistically for us as a brand. Every day is different and I still get that commercial buzz from making positive changes for the brand.
