THE ROLE

Are you a passionate software developer looking to expand your skill set? Within this role you will not only be part of an established and innovative engineering team but you will also play a key role in some exciting new developments for the brand.

As a part of the team that develops the platform, we have full control over our global infrastructure, whilst working closely with content, marketing and logistics teams to deliver world class tools that support their workflow. At AllSaints we are obsessed with security and scalability, whilst tackling both complex and challenging technical objectives.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

  • Be part of the team that owns whole software development process
  • Write clean, maintainable and testable code
  • Work closely with seniors and the leadership team to architect solutions, evaluate existing and emerging technology choices, and steer the overall technical direction.
  • Guide and mentor other engineers and learn from them
  • Design and build fast, scalable and highly available systems to deliver real business value
  • Rethink and disrupt the norm using the best tools and programming languages
  • Attend technical conferences to further expand your knowledge, awareness and horizon

 

WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED FOR THE ROLE?

  • Go or PHP7.x
  • Recent experience building RESTful APIs
  • Good knowledge of relational databases. We use MySQL and CockroachDB
  • Experience working on high volume transactional systems, ideally within fashion retail
  • Working knowledge of Docker is preferred but not essential
  • Experience with or an interest in learning about cloud providers. We use GCP
  • Ability to take ownership of projects
  • Previous experience in an agile environment (Kanban, Scrum) will give you distinct advantage
  • Experience with GRPC is a plus
  • Experience with microservices architecture is preferred but not essential
  • Understanding of or interest in OWASP Top 10

ABOUT THE LOCATION

You’ll be working in our East London Studios based in London’ vibrant Shoreditch with perks and benefits offered from local businesses including discounts on food, shopping and health & beauty. Studio Location. Approximately a 10 minute walk from Liverpool Street Station and a 5 minute walk from Shoreditch High Street.
