THE ROLE

We have an opening for a generalist business analyst to join our technology team during a very exciting time of growth and change. We have some ambitious plans across the business and are looking for an experienced business analyst to contribute to this. This role will require you to work with all business functions to help understand, catalogue, and shape the capabilities and business processes and systems of the future for AllSaints.

As a business analyst you’ll help drive solutions and set the stage for success by being collaborative, open and honest. You will have the opportunity to develop plans and proposals for the steps to be taken to realise the business requirements and at the same time develop, support and improve existing standards for business analysis processes and deliverables. The projects you will be working on will span across the business, so you will need to be comfortable with changing priorities.

ABOUT THE TEAM

Our business solutions team forms part of our wider technology team. Reporting into the senior business analyst you will work closely with our team of business analysts, product owners and a systems analyst.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

  • Reviewing quick win opportunities for processes and tools through standardisation
  • Eliciting, validating and documenting requirements, both functional and non-functional, to the required standard using appropriate documentation and modelling techniques
  • Modelling processes and activities to required standard using appropriate modelling techniques
  • Support the definition, evaluation and agreement of the business solution options, collaborating with key stakeholders across the business, ensuring that the process and capabilities needed are understood and influence the solutions selected to support AllSaints future growth plans
  • Keeping up to date on new approaches, techniques and tools, playing an active role in proposing and promoting process improvements
  • Playing an active role in strategic and operational planning discussions
  • Supporting the QA/test activities by ensuring acceptance criteria are well documented and have the appropriate level of coverage
  • Providing support to the business in defining and planning UAT
  • Supporting the training of implemented changes

WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED?

Business Engagement

  • Be able to structure appropriate workshops to understand as-is and to be processes
  • Seek to build relationships with key business sponsors and project teams to ensure collaborative approach to developing future models
  • Demonstrate an ability to flex style of communication to reflect audience
  • Maintain an up to date stakeholder matrix to ensure information is provided to relevant people/groups
  • Able to work effectively with project managers and product owners on milestone activities
  • Encourage effective teamwork through collaboration, enabling the sharing of skills, experience, and ideas

Essential skills

  • Experience in supporting large scale retail business transformation programmes
  • Exceptional communication skills – able to illustrate process challenges clearly to target audience
  • Experience with business process mapping tools and repositories
  • Ability to lead and influence others towards a common goal
  • Considers short and long term impacts when making decisions
  • Proven experience in a business analysis role, ideally with comprehensive retail experience

Desirable skills

  • Matrix management experience
  • Knowledge of the end to end product lifecycle
  • Extensive experience in business relationship management
  • High competence in facilitation and coordination
  • Thorough understanding and experience of project management
  • Demonstration of continuous self-improvement
  • Experience of process mapping tools
  • Experience working with multiple systems
  • Understanding of system design, integrations and product data

ABOUT THE LOCATION

Based in our East London Studios in vibrant Shoreditch with perks and benefits offered from local businesses including discounts on food, shopping and health & beauty. Studio Location. Approximately a 10 minute walk from Liverpool Street Station and a 5 minute walk from Shoreditch High Street.
