We are a brand embarking on a very exciting plan and we are seeking new members of the team who want to contribute to this.
The product copywriter will oversee the creation and delivery of all product descriptions on AllSaints.com. They will ensure all product descriptions on the site are informative and accurate, ensuring all product details such as design features, fit details and styling notes are captured and displayed in a way that is clear and concise.
Part of the digital content team and reporting into the digital editorial manager, the product copywriter will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the product description process, from capturing key product information ahead of season launch, to ensuring all product descriptions are completed and uploaded on time for monthly launches.
The successful candidate will have a great editorial style, an eye for fashion trends and an in-depth knowledge of product terminology. They will write in a clear and concise style that is true to the AllSaints tone of voice and ensure all copy is optimised for search.
They will develop integral relationships with key stakeholders across the business including design, buying, studio and the digital experience teams.
Occasionally they will support the wider digital content team with the creation of editorial and marketing copy across digital touchpoints.
WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
- Write all product descriptions in clear and concise English, ensuring they are informative and accurate, while adhering to the AllSaints tone of voice
- Work closely with the design, buying and technical teams to ensure all product details (such as design features, fit details, fabric composition and care instructions) are collated and submitted on time to allow for a smooth writing process
- Develop a good working relationship with the photo studio team to ensure styling notes are reflected in the product descriptions and we are presenting a unified view of the product
- Ensure all new product descriptions are uploaded to the site on time and to deadline
- Work closely with the SEO team to ensure all product descriptions are optimised correctly
- Provide updates, edits and amends to product descriptions as and when required or requested
- Ensure all relevant size, fit and care information is monitored in order to maximise customers’ ease of selection and shopping on the site
- Work alongside the wider Digital team, particularly the Digital Experience team, to ensure the smooth delivery of product launches to the site
- Be aware of any new opportunities or enhancements available to improve the product description output
- Supporting the copy team with additional ad hoc projects, including site and email copy, when needed
WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED FOR THE ROLE?
- Strong copywriting skills and an in-depth understanding of the English language
- Previous experience of copywriting within the fashion industry
- Computer literate and ability to use CMS systems
- A good understanding of fashion trends and product terminology
- Proactive and able to think creatively when problem solving
- Clear communication skills
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, able to prioritise work accordingly and work flexibly to hit deadlines
- An understanding of the AllSaints brand values
- Excellent team player who is collaborative in their approach and support team objectives
- Experience in HTML preferable
- Understanding of SEO best practice
- Creative eye and attention to detail
- A reliable self-starter who can work autonomously
