THE ROLE

Your responsibilities will be to oversee our payroll and benefits delivery to our 500 employees in North America and Canada, providing management of both AllSaints and John Varvatos’s payroll, compensation, benefit and 401k programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, and 401(k) plan for the US and Canada. You will partner closely with our wider people and culture team both for North America and globally, and offer excellent internal customer service to all our stakeholders and employees.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

  • You are responsible for processing payroll and all payroll audits for the office, distribution center and stores locations across US and Canada.
  • You will review and approve the funding processes for net payroll, payroll taxes, and all deductions to ensure complete and accurate data entry and timekeeping.
  • Manage and monitor accounting related payroll functions, including general ledger interface and account reconciliations and prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports for accounting reconciliations.
  • Responsible for establishing and adhering to all year-end and year-begin processes, according to most current payroll regulations.
  • Manage employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes and processing of life status changes.
  • Audit data in HRIS system to ensure benefits, hours, rates, hierarchies, accruals, etc, are set up and administered properly
  • Audits and tax filings, quarterly and year-end processes such as W-2's and W-2c’s
  • Preparation of weekly payroll forecasts and analyses, assist Finance with G/L monthly closings and financial statement preparation and special projects as assigned.
  • You will protect the business by maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations and ensure that all state provided tax documentation is properly handled and processed in collaboration with our payroll provider.

WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED?

  • Excellent communication, analytical, problem solving and solid follow up skills.
  • Team player and self starter with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Technically competent and highly organized and works effectively with all levels of staff and management.
  • Strong customer service attitude and ability to work with all levels of the organization from store team to executive team.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks with a willingness to flex schedule based on needs of business

EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years leading the payroll process and function in a multi-state environment
  • Highly proficient using Microsoft Office and Google Platforms
  • Experience using Dayforce/Ceridian platform ideally

The current pay range for this job is: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 USD/Year. 

ABOUT THE LOCATION

Our North America region is made up of 71 retail locations across the U.S. and Canada, with our flagship store in New York City. We are primarily based out of our Los Angeles studios, bringing our brand’s iconic aesthetic to West Hollywood, CA.
