THE ROLE:
The Junior Insight Analyst is a crucial member of the AllSaints digital team, reporting to the Global Head of Customer Data and Insight. This role is instrumental in executing the company's customer data and insights strategy, with a primary focus on driving D2C growth across our global markets, including the UK, US, and EU. As part of a focused team, you will support the management and application of customer data to inform key business decisions.
This position requires a solid grasp of customer behavior across both online and offline channels, including our retail stores. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundational understanding of data modeling and analytics, coupled with excellent communication skills.
WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
Data & Analysis:
- Analysis:
- Analyse customer behavior across all touchpoints to pinpoint trends, opportunities, and areas for enhancement
- Perform customer segmentation to enable targeted marketing campaigns and personalised customer experiences
- Assess customer lifetime value and attrition rates to contribute to the development of customer retention and loyalty initiatives
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as website traffic, conversion rates, average transaction values, and customer satisfaction metrics
- Reporting:
- Take ownership of the timely and accurate delivery of regular reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc) providing actionable insights at both global and regional levels
- Contribute to the design and development of standardised reporting templates and interactive dashboards to effectively track progress and performance against key metrics
- Support the presentation of findings and insights to senior management and relevant stakeholders in a clear, concise, and impactful manner
- Visualisation:
- Utilise data visualisation tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI) to create visually compelling and informative reports and dashboards
- Assist in the development of interactive visualisations that empower users to explore data and extract meaningful insights
- Contribute to the design of custom visualisations tailored to specific business needs and requirements
- Execution:
- Play a supportive role in the execution of the customer data, insights, and analytics strategy, ensuring alignment with e-commerce and D2C objectives
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven initiatives and contribute to the measurement of their impact
- Actively seek to expand knowledge of the latest trends and best practices in customer data and analytics
- Quality:
- Assist in the management of customer data, upholding high standards of data quality, accuracy, and completeness
- Support adherence to established data governance policies and procedures to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)
Collaboration & Communication:
- Teamwork:
- Collaborate effectively and proactively share knowledge with various teams, including digital, retail, merchandising, marketing, IT, and customer service, to support projects and initiatives
- Communication:
- Clearly and concisely communicate data insights and findings to team members and stakeholders across different levels of the organisation
- Assist in translating complex data analysis into actionable insights that are easily understandable for non-technical audiences
- Contribute to the preparation and delivery of presentations and reports for senior management and stakeholders
Technical Skills:
- SQL:Proficient in writing and optimising SQL queries, with the ability to contribute to data model design
- Python: Desirable: familiarity with Python libraries relevant for data analysis (e.g., Pandas, NumPy) and machine learning (e.g., Scikit-learn) is advantageous
- Data Visualisation Tools: Experience creating insightful visualisations and dashboards using data visualisation tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI)
- Web Analytics: Experience tracking and analysing website traffic and user behavior using platforms such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics
WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED?
- Experience in a data and insights role, ideally within the retail or fashion sector
- Solid SQL skills and practical experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau) and web analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics)
- A developing technical understanding of data modeling and analytics principles
- Understanding of customer segmentation methodologies and behavior analysis techniques
- Strong communication and presentation abilities
- Familiarity with CRM systems is beneficial
- Awareness of GDPR and data privacy regulations
