THE ROLE

This role will take full responsibility for the management accounting for our UK, EU & North America entities. The role reports into the Senior Finance Manager and is part of a team of 5.

ABOUT THE TEAM

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will be based at our Shoreditch head office, on a hybrid working schedule.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

  • Assist in preparing and reviewing the P&L and Balance Sheets for our UK, EU and North America entities, including the preparation and posting of accruals, prepayments and other journals
  • Preparation and ownership of balance sheet reconciliations, including investigating variances each month
  • Full ownership of specific cost lines in the P&L. This includes liaising with commercial teams across the business to ensure that reporting is accurate and complete
  • Ownership of monthly Cost Centre reporting to budget owners, including scrutinizing variances and explaining these back to the respective owners, to ensure that budgets are being managed effectively
  • Assist the Senior Finance Manager and Head of Accounting with ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required
  • Support in continually improving our finance and accounting processes
  • Support with the annual budget and forecast cycles for our overhead cost centres
  • Liaise with the external auditors and provide information as part of the annual audit process

WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED?

  • Newly qualified accountant with an ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification
  • Proven experience as a Management Accountant, Financial Analyst, or similar finance role, with a solid understanding of management accounting principles and variance analysis
  • You can clearly explain your work, and understand the interplay between the Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss, and Cash Flow Statement
  • Demonstrates natural business curiosity, continuously asking “why?” to understand drivers behind performance and behaviour
  • You bring energy, drive and motivation to every task, stepping up when the business needs support and owning the outcome. You own executing your work through to completion, whilst managing timeline effectively
  • Advanced Excel skills
