• What does a good day look like in your role?

  A good day for me involves looking at ways to maximise our best selling product, getting a brand new seasonal product range finalised and perhaps getting a sneak peak at what our design team is working on next.
   

• What does a challenging day look like in your role?

  Every day is different in buying as we work directly with almost every department in the business, but a challenging day for me could involve multiple delays to important product deliveries, cost negotiations, raw material shortages or even running out of coffee…
   

• What do you get up to in a typical day/week?

  A typical week involves analysing our weekly trade performance, looking for new product opportunities, meeting with vendors, reviewing the fit and make of our products with our garment technical team, delivering product presentations, working closely with our designers and merchandisers to review our range, and maybe getting to visit our lovely store teams. 
   

• What's the best thing about working for AllSaints?

  Without a doubt it’s the people. (closely followed by the amazing product that I get to work with every day).
   

• What's the most surprising or unexpected thing about working for us?

  How approachable and supportive to each other we are across the entire business.
   

• Why AllSaints?

  Because AllSaints really invests in its people, the opportunities for working collaboratively and learning here are second to none – I have just completed a diploma in leadership and management all thanks to AllSaints.
   

• Tell us about your journey so far.

  I started my journey working part time in our Cardiff store before then making the move to London where I worked in our Stratford store full time followed by our Camden store as a floor manager. Having always been obsessed with product I identified that buying and merchandising could be a good fit for me and I was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to join the department as an allocator. Many seasons later and I am now a menswear buyer. The time spent working on the shop floor was invaluable to me, I’m always trying to think about how I can give the customers that I used to see daily in store the best possible product and brand experience.
